Course Duration
This qualification will be delivered over a period of 26 weeks including all learning, simulated practical activities, and assessment activities.

Work placement
This course has a requirement of 18 hours of workplace training and assessment. NK Training Centre will assist you in finding a suitable workplace for this experience.

Training Delivery and Assessment
This course is delivered in a blended mode including face-to-face classroom-based learning, and self-study done in your own time.
You will require a computer and an internet connection to be able to access the learning modules.
Entry Requirements
This course requires you to have a good understanding of written and verbal English and maths (known as language, literacy and numeracy ‘LLN’). All students who enrol in a course are required to undertake an LLN assessment.
To enrol the prospective learner must:
- Have completed at least Year 12 or equivalent.
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) number
- Have a valid and current email address and phone number
- Have a valid Photo ID
- provide Proof of Residency (Birth Certificate/Passport/Medicare Card or Citizenship Certificate)

As this qualification involves accessing computers for research, reading articles, accessing learning materials, watching learning videos, downloading and uploading documents, we recommend learners have the basic computer skills to engage with all requirements.


Physical requirements
This qualification requires working within a pathology services industry which involves:
